The inaugural AZBEX Database Master Class went off without a hitch as 32 attendees packed the conference room at Okland Construction on Tuesday, June 13, eager to learn how to maximize their use of the AZBEX Database, and of course, to enjoy the free ice cream sandwiches.

The class was presented by AZBEX Creative and Research Director Rachel Kettenhofen and Senior Market Researcher Lya Parrish.

Throughout the two-hour presentation, attendees were given an in-depth view on different strategic uses for the database including:

  • Business Development
  • Project Research
  • Proposal and Interview Preparation
  • Market Share Analysis

Attendees also received several useful hints and tips on navigating through the database and how to best search for the right projects, companies, contacts and procurements.

Toward the end of the presentation, attendees were offered a first look at the new Analytics feature, a useful tool to help find out the market share of different companies within the A/E/C Industry.

The AZBEX team was excited to show it off, and Parrish gave several examples of how best to utilize the tool to extract the right information for a company to produce quality charts and graphs to present to upper management.

All-in-all, the class and the new Analytics search tool were well-received. The attendees walked away satisfied with the information they learned, and many said they anxious to put their lesson into practice.
