The family entertainment venue Main Event is building a 58KSf, $8M site on the southwest corner of 103rd Avenue and McDowell Road in Avondale.
Parkland Development, LLC will break ground in March on the 43-acre, mixed-use project whose first anchor tenant, Main Event Entertainment, is the fastest growing bowling-anchored entertainment center in America.
Main Event signed a lease for 58KSF in Phase 1 of the Park 10 project, which includes 10 acres on the eastern edge of the property. In addition to the Main Event building, Phase 1 will include three outparcel grade pads along McDowell Road.
The architect is Texas-based Hodges & Associates, civil is Hunter Engineering, landscape architect is Laskin & Associates and general contractor is A.R. Mays Construction of Scottsdale.
Main Event includes bowling, billiards, laser tag, an arcade, rope climbing, party room, café, bar and meeting space.
Plans are moving through development services for site-plan review and construction documents approval.
Target for ground-breaking is April, with opening scheduled for spring 2016. This will be Dallas-based Main Event’s second Arizona location; the first was in Tempe.
