By Roland Murphy for Arizona Builder’s Exchange
A new 216KSF, six-building business park has been proposed on 15 acres on Arizona Avenue south of Germann Road in Chandler, according to plans filed with the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
Planning review staff recommended conditional approval of necessary zoning changes to enable the project to move forward.
Plans submitted for the RMB Business Park on behalf of owner Arizona Commercial Real Estate Services call for six buildings with a shared interior truck yard and truck wells. Access will be provided via two driveways on Arizona Avenue. Buildings will range from 11KSF to 69KSF, with individual tenant spaces available from 4,140SF to 14KSF.
The buildings’ industrial architecture is intended to create a functional form with visual interest. Elements and materials will incorporate concrete tilt-up panels with metal accents, full height glass at the building corners and public entrances, and stone accents from the ground to the roof.
Planned colors will be desert earth tones with accents to complement the landscaping and contrast with building materials.
Landscaping will include palo verde, evergreen elm and acacia box trees with accent shrubbery that includes bougainvillea, silver cloud sage, deer grass and red bird of paradise.
No general contractor has been selected, and estimated timelines have not yet been developed.
