The Anthem Community Council Board of Directors want to put $1.2M over two years into the $2.3M civic center property they purchased at 3701 W. Anthem Way.
The preliminary estimates for renovation include structural changes, furniture and fixtures, and technology, audio and video, said Doug Greenstein, Anthem Community Council’s chief financial officer.
Work to find a civic facility began after needs were identified in Anthem community’s master plan. Swaback Partners was selected for architectural services.
The board asked Jenna Kollings, Anthem’s community executive officer, to draw up a plan for developing the facility into a civic structure. Plans would include a business center, fitness rooms, classrooms, multipurpose space and a law-enforcement wing.
